Dear Everyone:

I couldn't believe my eyes

when I saw this charming

image of a garden shed

featuring poppies, a vine wreath

and iris.

I went back to photograph

the images twice but the first attempt

was the most successful.

Seeing the images was a bit of

an "aha" moment. A feeling of

recognition of the appeal and charm.

Came across these images of poppies from a month ago and quite

liked them.

I enjoy seeing gardens looking sort of tangled and a bit

chaotic. It is the opposite of a studied posed studio shot of

blooms.

I set out to capture some vista shots of poppies

in a flower bed near my home.

I am very pleased with these 4 shots.

On at least one of them (poppyvista022009)

early morning sun illuminated the petals.

The profusion of blooms makes the shots.

Had to act like parapazzi and stalk these shots

down a private driveway.

Particularly like shot #poppy32009 as it looks like

a fine art shot. I also really like the side profile of the blooms.
