I was initially drawn to these shots

of hostas by the colour. The plants

were a sort of soft lime green.

It was only when I printed out the

shots that I saw the sculpural quality

of the leaves. The shapes of the leaves

and the sculptural appearance of the ribbbing

on the leaves stood out once the shots

were printed out.
