Fall triptych 2011

Falltriptych2011

Dear Everyone:

I recently took some miscellaneous
shots. Then it gelled in my thoughts
that they would make a nice triptych.
When I got my prints back from being
developed I put together the triptych
and liked it. I am pleased with it.

The central shot is a painting
on a power box by local artist
Laurie Mireau.

Enjoy.

Fall Colours 2011

Fallcolours#182011

Fall Colours

Overnight the reds, yellows

and oranges appear

A Fall tapestry of colour

Worth a second or third glance

Study the scene with care

Compose your shot

Photographs offer a shot at eternity

Making eternal the transitory

colour of a leaf due to fall

Fall and Spring our most

transitory seasons

Gone in the blink of an eye

Cherish them now

Fall geraniums 2011

Fallgeraniums2011

Dear Everyone:

I took this picture at a charming

house in an older part of town.

The house also had window boxes

full of flowers and a side garden.

Just a pleasant shot.

Dear Everyone:

I was recently in my grocery

store and saw masses of flowers

on stands. This seemed out of place

amongst the foodstuffs

until I thought that open-air farm

markets often have fresh flowers

along beside the vegetables and fruit.

At any rate I am writing poetry

and so share my poem and photos

of this subject.

Flowers are Inedible

In clear sight of the vegetables

Blooms behind cellophane

massed on stands

Unexpected
Florist in a grocery store

Orchids, roses, carnations

Do you have a special occasion

Blooms in a grocery store

Inedible, but luscious

Take me home
