Fall Colours 2011

Fallcolours#182011

Fall Colours

Overnight the reds, yellows

and oranges appear

A Fall tapestry of colour

Worth a second or third glance

Study the scene with care

Compose your shot

Photographs offer a shot at eternity

Making eternal the transitory

colour of a leaf due to fall

Fall and Spring our most

transitory seasons

Gone in the blink of an eye

Cherish them now

Rembrandt 2009

Rembrandt012009

I had worked on my folk art paintings
for a few days and neglected my
photography. I found that I missed
the photography and needed to get back to it.

I find there are fewer subjects outdoors
this time of year as we are really between
seasons.

The leaves are down but we aren't getting
snowfalls just yet.

I had noticed these beautiful
multi-coloured fall leaves on
a walk and returned to take some
shots.

Using my Freeman Patterson
motion technique I got some shots
of multi-coloured leaves, purple asters,
and red berries.

This image is multi-coloured leaves
against a stone wall. To me
the colours look like a Rembrandt
painting.

Hope that you enjoy this image.

Have a generous-hearted kind
of day.

Helen.

Sped by this stand of trees.

Noticed the mutli-colour hues of the leaves
and returned with my camera.

Used the Freeman Patterson motion
technique.

Very pleased with the results.

Here are 3 of the 10 shots I liked.
A representative sample.

Hope that you enjoy these images.

Have an enjoy-every-minute-of-it
kind of day.

Helen.
