Dear Everyone:

This is the first in my series

of folk art paintings of the

unusual petunia I detailed

in the previous blog posting.

I had never seen the colour

combination of lime green and

fuchsia of these flowers before.

The painting insisted

that I use greens for the

background.

The image is rather stylized

which is typical of my work.

Spotted this striking type of

petunia at a private home.

Returned the following day to

photograph it with the permission

of the owner.

May do some paintings of

these flowers, as well.

The colour combination,

lime green and fuchsia, is so unusual
