Resolution 2010

peggy'scove012009

"Come away from the din,
Come away to the quiet fields,
over which the great sky stretches,
and where between us and the stars,
there lies but silence,
and there in the stillness, let us
listen to the voice that is speaking within
us."

Jerome K. Jerome
in Moments. Reflections
in Words and Pictures,
by Sarah Ferguson,
The Ducchess of York
London: Pavillion (2003).

This is my resolution for 2010.
To listen to what the celestial
is saying within me. To honour
my muse and my spirit. To
continue my
unfolding journey.
May you find yours.
Helen.

Peggy's Cove-April 2009

Peggy'sCove092009

Peggy's Cove has an irrestible draw for many of my friends and family.
They are drawn to the scenic beauty. The over-size magnificent rocks/boulders. The spray
of the ocean as it hits the rocks. The attractive lighthouse.

These photographic images are of Peggy's Cove at sunset as is
the folk art painting.

This poem by John Masefiled (1878-1967) captures some of the magic of the ocean:

"I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied,
And all I ask is a windy day with white clouds flying.
And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying"

Peggy's Cove is ideal on a windy day.

I hope that you enjoy these images.
Have a flying-high-kind-of-day.
Helen.
