Dear Everyone:

After reading a biography of

artist Georgia O'Keefe by Britta Benke

(Taschen:2009) I was inspired

to sketch and paint an image of hills.

This turned out to be one of my

favourite images.

This image unites my bird series with

famous artist Georgia O'Keefe (1887-1986).

The petunia references her most famous work-

her flower paintings. I also associate Georgia

O'Keefe with desert scenes with skulls.
