This image was inspired by

an osprey diving and fishing

at a river near my house.

He returned to the same

perch daily.

Dear Everyone:

This is the second image of

my father's day images.

I kept on seeing sunburst

mirrors in top decorating

magazines. Perhaps the influence

of the top decorator and set designer,

the late Tony Duquette. So I decided

to sketch and paint a sunburst.

The painterliness of the image

with the multiple colours of

the sun just came to me

and so I enjoyed the

making the work.
