DURABILITY POEM

You take me at my word
I often don't need to explain
myself with you
Is it trust or telepathy?
Familiarity
We can speak in shorthand
Count the years
It is exactly 20
We have grown together
You have some exciting projects
under your belt
I am working trying to keep
up with my creativity
Should we toast a glass of
sparkling wine to 20 more
I'm in it for the duration
Are you?
I'll make sure you don't
run out of poems to read
You can keep me smiling
