Came across a powerbox painted

with poppies a few days ago.

I learned from an uncle that

the powerboxes are also

painted in Calgary.

Just a great municipal effort.

I continue to be fascinated

by the painted powerboxes

in my community. They

appear to be painted by

local artists. This box was

unsigned however.

Our municipality asks artists to paint

the powerboxes and so driving along

one sees lovely art on the street.

is painted by local artist Laurie Mireau.
