Dear Everyone:

Shot these Easter lilies on
the same day as I shot the
hydrangea.

Signs of fall are arriving.
Advertisements for
fall clothes, the fall issue
of Vogue, and registering
for fall courses.

Hope you enjoy these shots.
Tried to not rely entirely for the
most part on single bloom shots.
Wanted a 3D effect again.

Autumn Finale 2009

Autumnremnant012009

Autumn

Autumn , a thinker's season
subtle shifts of temperature and light
Fall colours to delight
Hanging on to ward of winter's might
Autumn ushers out summer
Watch leaves fall as trees stripped bare
brace for winter's blast and no
longer devil may care
A season for the intellect

Impressionism continued 2009

impressionismcont'd2009

What I like about the Freeman Patterson
motion technique is the impressionistic shots
it creates.

This image could pass as an impressionistic
or abstract painting.

Fighting not to pause the motion
to press the button on the camera
and take the shot is very challenging.

My subject was red and pink fall
leaves on a sidewalk. Hence
the beautiful colours in this shot.

Hope that you enjoy this image.

Have a get-started-on-Christmas
kind of day.

Last of Fall 2009

Fallsidewalk012009
Fallsidewalk022009

Fallsidewalk032009

I had a creative block early last week for a few days.

Didn't post to the blog as a result.

Then went out for the last 4 days in a row and got
close to a 100 shots I am happy with.

These 3 images are amongst the last of fall.

The leaves are almost all down here
so I am shooting while there are still
images to capture.

Hope that you enjoy these images.

Have a look-ahead-and cherish-behind
type of day.

October shot 2009

Octobershots022009
This is a more traditional image again.
I find it an attractive shot.

For some reason my ability to see a shot
is higher and stronger than a couple of years ago.

Hope that you enjoy this image.
Have an enjoy-fall-while-it-is-here
kind of day.

Autumn Shot

autumnshot102009
Really like this shot. The shot
almost looks like a
painting on silk. The soft effect
and beautiful colour are striking.
Hope that you enjoy this image.
Have a not-ready-for-winter
kind of day.

Golden Tree II

autumnshots182009

Went back twice to capture this yellow tree that looked
gold with sunlight illuminating the leaves.
Hope that you enjoy these images.

I was running yesterday and noticed
many leaves coming down. A true
sign of autumn. Some of the fallen leaves
were lovely so I decided to return to the
street with my camera and take shots of them.

I decided to call these shots leaf portraits.

I returned with my camera and started
shooting fallen leaves. This required
bending or crouching to get my close-ups.

I got many great shots.

A jogger interested in what I was doing
asked me if I was taking pictures of bugs
on the ground. I corrected her but found
this speculation to be quite funny.

How eccentric to be taking pictures
of bugs.

Hilarious.

Hope that you enjoy these images.

Have a look-out-for-the-small-
guy-kind of day.

Autumn Leaves 2009

autumnleaves012009
autumnleaves022009

I went back to shoot a favourite tree from
last year. To some surprise I noticed
that it had already progressed into rich
fall colouration. I'm glad I didn't miss
this display of colour.

Hope that you enjoy these 2 images.
Have a pay-attention-to-little-
kindnesses type of day.
