Like a Painting

Leaves overhanging a riverbank

Fall in all it's glory

Crimson red, golden yellow,

fiery orange
The marsh grass and water

are misty grey-green
Do you prefer this image in

sharp focus or

blurred like an Impressionistic painting

My preference is for the painting

Gentle poetry, soft edges
The sharp image jars me

I prefer not to be jarred

but soothed

But I have a choice
