Dear Everyone:

Both are close-ups.

One features a night-sky and a harlequin
pattern.

The second features oranges and greys and peony pink.
I almost thought of metallurgy while painting it. Specifically
gold and bronze.

Botero's choice 2012

Dear Everyone:

An art teacher I met last night
told me that when she needs
inspiration for her work she
goes to the library and looks up
books of work by great artists.

This morning I decided to
seek inspiration from the work
of Botero. He is an artist renowned
for his over-sized, plump figures.
Rotund and sensual. Witty and
satirical.

The result is an image I
named Botero's choice.

Dear Everyone:

The layperson's term for this flower
is Autumn crocus.

It flowers in Autumn and is somewhat larger
than the crocuses we typically see in the Spring.

An acquaintance called capturing this shot
serendipity and I agree it is a great shot.
