Dear Everyone:

I enjoy graffitti and see it as

a legitimate form of

artistic expression.

This graffitti was placed

on the walls of an abandoned,

boarded up gas station.

I enjoyed the close-ups

of the heart and dollar sign

and "I love you" statement

in particular.

Dear Everyone:

I developed an interest

in Ukranian Easter eggs

this Spring.

My Ukranian friend, Bonnie,

explained that there is a strong

tradition of painting Ukranian

Easter eggs each Spring. Called

pysanka, Ukranian Easter eggs

are created using a wax-resist

method incorporating

folk-loric symbols. The traditional

colours for pysanka are red and black.

My version of pysanka is

a folk-art painting of an egg

featuring a poppy. Poppies

are the national symbol/flower

of the Ukraine and are thought

to symbolize beauty and joy.

I sketched the rabbit

some time ago and adapted

for Easter.

I think I'll do one

Dear Everyone:

These shots are a bit more

subtle and elusive

than my typical work.

The water looked moody green

and crystal clear. The rocks

and trees were reflected in

the water. An overcast

day gave it all a grey tint.

Sort of fresh like you

could drink from the lake.

I sketched and painted

this Easter bouqet directly from

a bouqet I picked up

at the grocery store.

I am pretty pleased

with the image and

in particular I am

pleased with the shapes

and colours.

while taking a shot of a crooked

billboard sign nearby.

This horse comes from my celestial

vision in which I assist Jesus to host

a picnic. Deities and animals come to visit.

The horse is an Arabian with

a concave dish face.

The image wanted red and blue.
