Discovered this new British interior

design magazine titled Living etc.

Find the contents very cutting edge.

From the July 2010 issue here

are 2 beautiful images for a dream house.

A bath with a large picture

window to the outdoors and

a cabin-style bedroom with
exposed wood paneling and grey-toned

linens.

Grey in interior decor is new for

me and I am quite intrigued by it.

from a private garden.

They were falling forward

Found inspiration in a few images.

Like a mood board.

A beautiful model with

a petite figure, a striking face,

and gorgeous hair. Long and straight

golden brown hair with bangs.

A photograph of a

dining room in Provence

shown in Veranda August 2010.

All in shades of burlap and kraft

paper brown.

And a white garden with tree bark

and shots of yellow.

I refer to them as dream images.

Dear Everyone:

Lupines are a fixture in the

maritimes. Saw a patch of

lupines on the bank of a stream.

Wanted to capture the spiky

flowers with the water as

a backdrop.

The lupines framed against

the water is a bit idiosyncratic.

Each spike looks like it was

placed and arranged by hand.

It wasn't.

Dear Everyone:

I couldn't believe my eyes

when I saw this charming

image of a garden shed

featuring poppies, a vine wreath

and iris.

I went back to photograph

the images twice but the first attempt

was the most successful.

Seeing the images was a bit of

an "aha" moment. A feeling of

recognition of the appeal and charm.

to sketch and paint an image of hills.

I have recently developed

an interest in a more organic

look for decor. Think rustic.

Wood. Greens. Browns. greys.

Anchored to nature. Lichen.

Moss. Foliage. Japanese zen

aesthetic.

team Janis Provisor and Brad Davis

founded the company in China years

ago and spent 8 years in the country.

They have now returned to New York
