West Jeddore-April 2009
WJ10a2009
These photographs were taken at the end of a road
on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia. I have always had a soft spot for
these 2 sheds and sometimes think about having a studio in them
on this pebbled shoreline.
There was an interesting article in the Summer 2009 issue of the magazine
Visual Arts News about artists moving to rural settings titled
"Living the Good Life". The article spoke at length on artist
Charlotte Wilson-Hammond as an example.
She moved to Clam Harbour almost 40 years ago to raise her family and
live off the land, on a 250 acre parcel. She is and has been very involved in arts
adminstration as well as her own work. One can glamourize the rural life but
it takes learning survival skills like organic gardening and farming.
It must take a steep learning curve for transplanted urbanites.
Where is your dream setting?
Have a sometimes-dreams-come-true kind of day.

May shots
shot#6may162009
Just a compendium of may shots. I like to shoot branches of flowering trees.
May try to re-shoot the multi-coloured tulips in different light.
Hope you enjoy these images.
Have a find-the-joy-in-miscellaneous kind of day.
